Patricia M. Pollitzer is the Assistant General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). That division focuses on the legal aspects of rulemaking and on jurisdiction. Ms. Pollitzer joined CPSC in 1989 as a staff attorney in the Regulatory Affairs Division, and has been head of that division since 2012. She has worked with the staff on rulemakings covering a range of issues, products, and statutes. Prior to joining the CPSC, Ms. Pollitzer was an associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft. She received her BA from Vassar College and her JD from the George Washington University School of Law.
